Cailín Óir Ferry Service wishes to alert its customers to the shortcomings in the text service. Today Tuesday 15.2.2011 of the 77 texts sent at 9.49 am, 47 were still pending at 10.50 am and by 11.45 am there were still 11 pending. We have established that it can take up to 2 hours for most of the texts to reach their intended recipients on any given occasion. The text service is not therefore a fool proof method of reaching our customers and intending passengers are advised to check the website or to contact us directly in cases of urgency.
