Permission has been received from the Department to withdraw the Dún an Óir 11 from service for some days ( 3-5) towards the end of this month or the beginning of next month depending on optimum weather conditions for some essential maintenance before the winter. Amongst the planned works are painting, general maintenance before the bad weather, some rewiring and the installation of heating in the passenger saloon. The Dún Aengus will be in service for these days and further notice will be given when the start date is certain.
