The Annual Survey of the Dún an Óir 11 is almost complete and we expect to have her back in service tomorrow May 2nd. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the service the crane has been moved further towards the stern and the controls have been changed to the other side so that the cargo handling will be more efficient and safer for all concerned. Service users are asked to respect the directions of the crew and to remain at a safe distance during cargo loading/unloading operations. We are thankful to all who have worked hard at the many maintenance tasks that needed to be completed, and especially the painting which was often disrupted by the inclement weather during the past month.
