Cailín Óir Ferry Service to Cape Clear Island
Arrangements for Storytelling Weekend 6 – 8 September 2013
We have made various arrangements for the forthcoming Storytelling Festival from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 September regarding additional services and accommodation.
These include
Additional sailings on Friday 6th from Baltimore at 7pm, on Saturday 7th from Baltimore at 10am and from Cape Clear at 8.30 pm and on Sunday 8th from Cape Clear at 6pm. Passengers are advised that the Saturday and Sunday should be prebooked though our online bookings system as there can be no later sailings in the event of over booking. There seems to beplenty of spaces available on the 7pm today Friday so pre booking should not be needed. As these are specially arranged extra sailings the Free Pass is not valid and Free Pass Holders are advised to purchase single tickets. Festival Goers are also reminded of the early 7.15 am sailing departing Cape Clear on Monday 9th September.
On Sunday 8th we will operate a Fastnet Trip to circumnavigate the Iconic Landmark at 2pm form Cape Clear, weather permitting. As this is weather dependent tickets should not be prebooked, intending passengers should simply arrive at the main pier at 1.50 am approx.
We have also arranged, in cooperation with Comharchumann Chléire Teo a limited amount of extra hostel standard accommodation in Éirí na Gréine at a cost of €50 per person for a minimum of 2 nights. This should also be prebooked though our online booking system by clicking on the option ‘hostel storytelling’ when booking your online ferry ticket. Accommodation is bed only, self catering with bed linen provided. The rooms are configured as follows: - One six bed, 2 four beds and 2 two beds. Groups of friends wishing to have the same room should confirm availability in advance by emailing info@cailinoir.com. At the present time there is still accommodation in the main Island Hostel which is more centrally located for up to 4 people., ph 028-41968.
