Attempts to land tankers on the island on Monday had to be abandoned due to unfavorable sea conditions, the next possibility will be early today (unlikely due to weather conditions) , Please use the tanker provided in the South Harbour, you are advised to boil the water from this tanker as per the instruction on the tanker. Meawhile Ed Harper is planning to  host a public meeting ( venue to be decided) at 8.30 pm on Wednesday to seek funding for water conservation measures such as rain water harvesting. There are many better alternatives to flushing expensive potable water down toilets and there are abundant alternative water sources on Cape Clear Island. Rainwater tanks and other similar measures will improve the sustainability of the Island Community and increase the overall water storage capacity of the Island.
