We have just heard from artist Diarmuid Breen whose new exhibition opens tonight, Friday 17 April in the Blue House Gallery in Schull from 6 to 8pm. Diarmuid fondly remembers his time on Cape Clear and his first very successful West Cork exhibition mounted in Club Cléire and the Island Tourist Office/Craft Shop. Various Island households and Island folk now living elsewhere also have good reason never to forget him since most of his evocative landscapes of the Island were purchased by people with strong connections to Cape Clear. We hope that he visits us again soon and perhaps we might see some new works relating to the Island. We know his career has gone from strength to strength and we hope he continues to enjoy the success he so richly deserves.
