We enclose a photo taken this morning showing the  impressive storm gate structure closed. We understand that the gates have been opened and closed on a number of occasions on a trial basis to date without any hitches. We also show a close up of the steel barriers that can be placed either side of the storm gates in order to dry out the area on both sides of the storm gates for repairs, maintenance, painting etc. Finally we show the new aspect towards the Bird Observatory showing the impressive new access road and grass area. Lets hope that there are sufficient funds remaining to supply a lawn mower.
