This week has seen good progress on the piling of Inner Duffys Pier and the author was happily surprised by the minimal noise impact of the piling method in use as from his office in the harbor he was unaware that considerable  piling was in fact taking place until he saw the results. Apart from that the temporary bridge arrangement also shown seems to be satisfactory and arrangements are made to move trailers and suchlike when required. Parking is available in the area outside the Bird Observatory. Harbour users will also observe separate works taking place on the Comharchumann building with a new insulated roof being installed over the old roof. Hopefully this will render the building more watertight and comfortable for those that work there.
