We are glad to publish details of the Bantry Blueway which we hope will benefit tourism generally and specifically to Whiddy Island. Kayaking is of course extremely important to Cape Clear Island with regular groups of visiting kayakers, including for the first time this year paddle boarders and South Harbour is a hive of kayaking activity in the Summer. There are also increasing numbers using the Island as a stopover on the way to circumnavigating the Iconic Fastnet Rock Lighthouse. See here
