As the photos show there has been tremendous progress made on the pier recently with the piling completed and cut to size and work currently taking place on where the pier tapers out meet the roadway around the Harbour. Progress has been relentless and steady all along and great credit is due to all concerned. We also show a photo taken during a recent hydroscope survey in the area of the proposed distillery. Planning permission has been re-lodged following the delay caused by the unusual  requirement  to put a planning notice on the main Island Pier.
