As the photo shows Storm Frank blew a hole under part of the old sea wall, adjacent to the newly refurbished pier and undermined a hold in the roadway as shown. We show a photo taken from the beach showing the damage to the foundations of the sea wall with the large block in the background placed where the main breach has taken place. We appreciate the efforts of the contractors on site to make this area safe again and no doubt some remedial works will be due at a later stage.
