Archeological Survey of Cape Clear Island scheduled for Monday 9 May
|
|
From Monday 9 th May for some days a small team of archeologists from the University of Cork under Dr. Colin Rynn will be undertaking a survey to update the various sites of archeological significance on the Island. They will be wearing high Vis vests and as most of the relevant sites are on private lands we hope that owners will cooperate by allowing them the necessary access. There will be no invasive works carried out but the updated report that will ensue will be a useful addition to our store of knowledge about the Islands heritage.
