The Bioblitz weekend on Cape Clear and other islands last weekend was a resounding success with great fun had by all in finding and recording over 900 distinct species on the Island and its environs. Organized by the National Biodiversity Centre the fun filled competition has a serious side as it provides valuable base line information on a whole range of important data. Of course there are many more exciting events planned for the summer and no one should need any excuse to get out and enjoy the outstanding great outdoors on our doorstep. See results here
