Event In Club

 This coming Saturday 22 October will see a special event in the Club funded by the Heritage Office of Cork. CC as part of the Centenary Year Celebrations. At 8pm Nicola Stathers, who has been researching the Revolution Papers for the Irish Examiner will give a talk on personal/local stories arising from her researches, that is stories about ordinary people that have come to light through the archives. Following that Pádraig Mac Aodhgháin will give a short talk on the related music of Seán Ó Riada. Following the talk from about 9pm both who are also accomplished musicians will join local musicians for a session playing the pipes and the concertina.
