2017 Halloween Festival on Cape Clear Island
The weather looks great for this year’s Halloween Festival on Cape Clear Island and there are a record number of events planned with, the certainty of something for everyone.
Saturday 28th
Starting on Saturday morning at 12 noon all willing hands are invited to help decorate the Club in time for a Bake Sale, Pumpkin Waltz and Live music from 2 to 6pm. There will also be pumpkins available for carving for use on the pumpkin float later. The 3 day Storytelling Workshop with Joel Ben Izzy also commences, lasting until Monday 30th.
Sunday 29th
Mass is at 10am, there will be a traditional session in the Club at 3pm and The Hayshed of Horror in Fiona’s Barn at 8pm. Also if the fine weather keeps up there may be a trip around the Fastnet at the usual time of 1pm departing Cape Clear with the Heritage Centre open also from 3 to 4.00 pm
Monday 30th
From 11 to 6pm there will be an Art workshop making miniature people and animals in Eirí na Gréine with artists Marie Brett and Tess Leak. Fáilte roimh cách, no experience necessary. This will be followed by a Moonlit Walk and ghoulish stories at 8pm from the Old Post Office.
Tuesday 31st
Art Exhibition in Eirí na Gréine from 10am to 1pm, Beach Clean-up in South Harbour from 1.30pm, and from 5pm, Trick or Treating to include a walking adventure, Games, Fireworks etc. commence in North Harbour/Club Cléire.
Wed 1st November –
Mass for All Souls Day to be arranged.
