We are sure that our readers will share our delight at the news of a new ferry service operating between Cork and Spain to commence this coming April. See Irish Times .

This brings to mind the prominent part played by Cape Clear Island in the efforts to reestablish the Cork-Wales route some years ago and while it was, unfortunately not a success, we very much hope for a better outcome for the proposed new venture. It would be really cool, would it not, to drive to Cork, get on a ferry and arrive directly in Spain and of course Spanish registered vehicles will be very welcome along the high ways and preferably the byways of our beautiful West Cork.
